Stripers are biting lugworms, bloodworms and nightcrawlers. People are also catching stripers on spoons. The largemouth and smallmouth bass have slowed down a little, but people are still catching bass on small plastics in 15 to 30 feet. The trout, catfish and bluegill have been slow.

Fishing at Castaic is good. The stripers have been biting swimbaits, lugworms, spoons and trolled umbrella rigs. The stripers have been very good quality. The largemouth and smallmouth bass have been biting good on a variety of baits. Trout, catfish and bluegill have been slow.
