Even though the weather was chilly, fishing has been good for the week. Crappie was biting well again off of usual jigs, worms and even chrome colored spinner. Bass is a challenge, but some anglers were having luck this Saturday as they prepare for next Saturday's tournament.

Bass are doing well in the narrows off of crank baits and plastic worms as well as live worms. One nice size catfish was snagged in cove near Mackey Point. They have not been biting well on anything that I am aware of lately. Bluegill and Red ear are also very scarce. Crappie biting on jigs, worms and nibbles. Water temperature was taken at the Marina. Crappie still doing well near the marina with red worms jigs and silver spinner. Bluegill and Red ear have been scarce. Small catfish were brought in at the cove near marina using Mackerel. Smaller bass are being caught off shore near the store, lately using swim baits and crank baits. ...... Read More
