On Saturday, March 31, 2018, 251 fisherman attended the final 2017/2018 San Bernardino County Regional Park Trout Derby. The derby was held at Yucaipa Regional Park in Yucaipa, CA. A total of 56 trout were caught and registered, with the top trout weighing in at 11 lbs. 4 oz. It was caught by Richard O’ Farrell from San Bernardino, CA using an orange Power Bait. Twenty-four additional prizes were given out for trout weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz. to 1 lbs. 12 oz.

First Place – Richard O’Farrell from San Bernardino, CA. Trout weighed 11.4 lbs. Caught using orange Power Bait.

Second Place – Tanner Holt from Fallbrook, CA. Trout weighed 9.05 lbs. Caught using plastic jig.

Third Place – Mark Grunkemeyer from Moreno Valley, CA. Trout weighed 8.06 lbs. Caught using Lip Ripper Jig.

Fourth Place- Anthoni Yord from San Bernardino, CA. Trout weighted 8.05 lbs. Caught using a black jig.

Fifth Place- David Ortega Gonzalez from Riverside, CA. Trout weighted 8.02 lbs. Caught using Drew’s Custom Bait.

The Park stocks two lakes every Thursday. The lakes we stock are closed until Friday morning.
