Stripers and Catfish have been biting well from shore, hot spots over the past week have been along the rip rap in front of the boat shop and also along the canal by the entrance booth. Stripers have been seen boiling around the lake by Bear Trap, Yellow Bar, and Serrano. Best baits have been sardines, lugworms, and chicken liver. Some lures have also been working such as top waters or kastmasters. Bass have also been biting well all over the lake, hitting reaction baits and also plastic baits for areas with more grass.

Fishing has been great over the past week for both stripers and bass. Many anglers are using chicken liver and sardines throughout the day and some lures like kastmasters and top water early morning for stripers. Little boils have been seen around the lake and up in the canal by the entrance booth. Fishing has been great over the past week for variety of species throughout the lake. Stripers have been seen boiling in the marina and coves around the lake, biting on Sardines, lugworms, chicken liver, and some lures like kastmasters. Catfish are also biting off shore and down deep towards the island, typically caught using chicken liver and anchovies.
