Cooling water temps has slowed the longtime surface bite, although are still a few fish chasing silversides in main lake areas. Drop shotting 4" to 6" worms in 20' to 40' of water can be productive, and a good back up plan to chasing the boils. here were a couple reports of bluegill coming out of the Barona arm on split shafted red worms and mealworms. No catfish were reported to the concession last week.

We are awaiting yet another trout plant this week and hopefully they will stock a little more trout than the first one. There has been some striper action on trout swimbaits with fish ranging from schoolie size to larger models. Some anglers have been having luck soaking a nightcrawler or anchovy in deeper waters.
