Despite the weather over the past week, bass have been biting very well along the shorelines of the lake, off points and throughout coves have been best using soft plastic baits or even drop shot rig with nightcrawler or rob worms.  A variety of crank baits have been working pretty well in the morning in the same areas for bass which is always a fun bite.  Anglers have been catching bass from shore as well but have been frequently catching stripers along the rip rap in front of the boat shop and also from the canal by the entrance booth, mainly on nightcrawler or lug worms, sardines, and chicken liver.
