As of 9/21 the lake capacity is 71.4%. Large and smallmouth bass have been predominately biting. We are in the fall season for bass fishing! The bite is very good during the fall. Bass are pushing shad into the backs of coves, changes and creeks. This primarily happens during the mornings and late afternoons. During mid day bass will stage off of secondary points waiting for shad to flow in from the main lake. Anything that resembles a shad or bait fish is going to get bit. Besides swimbaits, using a jig, drops hotting and a ned rig will also see success. Topwater has also seen some action in the early morning and late afternoon. Try using a walking spook or a whopper plopper in white color or a ghost.
