Best advise is to try 30-50 feet off shore and down to the bottom. I haven’t heard any luck fishing in the shallow water even in the warmest part of the day right now. Live worms and cut baits down 30-60 feet deep is where the bass are feeding and catfish are wandering. Crappie are down 10-25 feet. They are line shy so use 4 lb. test and a weighted jig head for best results with a look a like plastic minnow.

If you are willing to switch up your strategies this week paid off. More movement and decent fish caught due to the warmer weather I would guess. Lots of reports of crappie being caught we just can’t get anyone to let out the secrete spot. Little bit of sunfish action in early afternoon using worms. Catfish must have taken eh week off so no word on them. ...... Read More

Got to work at it this week anglers report. The water is cold and the clarity isn’t the best. If your shore fishing best advice is to launch out 30-50 feet if possible. Drop shot set up or wacky rig are the best style. Greenie weenie roboworms or blue fleck powerboat seem to be the best choice. The small sized deep diving Rapalas are working okay. Live worms and cut baits will draw some attention even on the slowest days. ...... Read More
