The trout fishing has slowed a bit, but are still being caught particularly from the southern shore. Look for the pace to quicken with Wednesday’s upcoming plant. Mousetails, powerbait, and inflated nightcrawlers are what’s working.

Largemouth bass are active but primarily in deeper water. Dark colored plastics, swimbaits, and trout plugs are all solid options.

Crappie are biting in numbers, but not tight to shore. The best results have come by boaters who either locate a school suspended in one of their deeper haunts or troll for them. Crappie respond best to golden shiners or mini jigs.

Catfish can be found throughout the lake and favor cut-mackerel or chicken liver.
