HESPERIA LAKE: Garlic Power Bait or night crawlers seem to be the ticket for the bait crowd. Power worms and nymphs for the casting crew. Sandy point for the bait fishing and the finger cove for the artificial bait were good bets all week. Catfish are still on the prowl over off the north bank and sandy point. Uriel Morfin from Fontana landed a 10 pound catfish, using shrimp. While Jose Morfin of El Monte caught a nice 4 pound trout using power bait off of sandy point.

1,000 pounds of trout will be stocked on 11-20-13 and we will have two stocks next week with 2,000 pounds of Nebraska Tailwalkers which are to be here on 11-20203 and 1,000 pounds of those frisky Mt. Lassen trout on either 11-25 0r 26-2013. Weather is great with highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's.

Wind is mild and every day is a great day for fishing at Hesperia Lake. The lake is still open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the day session and 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. for the night fishing. No state fishing license is required.
