The weather has been windy and cold this past week which has been great for the trout fishing. Salmon Peach Power Bait or Meal Worms seem to be the best baits. North Shore and Finger Cove were better spots for the week. Catfish are still being pulled out around the Finger and North Shore areas. Visiting from Fontana, Robert Aanerud caught a 9 LB. Trout using Powerbait from the Finger Cove. Jason Lofstedt from San Bernardino caught a 5 LB. trout also with Powerbait at the Finger Cove, Troy Booschet from San Bernardino got lucky with a 4.3 Lb. trout at the North Shore, and Kevin Elkias from Victorville caught a 5 Lb. Catfish at the North Shore using Nite Crawlers.
1,000 pounds of trout will be stocked on 12-11-13. Winter Weather is here with highs in the 40's and lows in the 20's. So bundle up!! With winter weather rolling in the trout fishing has been boundless at Hesperia Lake. The lake is still open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the day session and 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. for the night fishing. No state fishing license is required. Information: 800-521-6332 or 760-244-5951.
