Fishing has been improving significantly over the past week and a half. There has been an excellent top water bite in the morning until about 10:30. Then continues starting at at 5:30 until close. Walking baits on the surface, wake adits, frogs and buzz baits have been the most productive. But we have seen an increase in jerk baits, crank baits and square bill hook ups. Big fish are being caught daily ranging anywhere from 5-12 pounds. Don’t miss you opportunity to catch on elf these giants while they’re feeding hards. Soft plastics worms continent to work as well with colors such as margarita mutilator, morning dawn, hologram shad, and oxblood. However the bass seem to be keying in on creature baits and crawdad patterns. We have seen an increase in bluegill fishing as well both in size and numbers with most fish being caught on meal worms, wax worms and crickets.
