Winter Break Lake Hours: We are open DAILY on the entire lake from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between December 20th and January 5th.
Stocking: The lake was stocked with 2000 lbs. of trout last week. We expect another stocking of 1500 lbs. the week of January 6th. So far this season, the lake has been stocked with 8500 lbs. of trout.
Fishing and boating fees are changing beginning January 1, 2020. Please visit our website to review the new fees.
What's the catch? Trout are biting in the mornings on the north east side of the lake from Hermit Cove and Cactus Patch to Eagle Point. Trout activity slows down in the afternoon. They are biting on peach salmon powerbait. Catfish are still biting in Siesta Cove and off of the t-dock. The bass are being elusive, but our rangers recommend fishing Eagle Cove or Big Rock for bass.
Time to renew your California State Fishing License! Your 2019 license will expire on December 31, 2019. The cost is $51.02 for the 2020 calendar year and can be renewed online by clicking HERE. We do not sell the state fishing license at Lake Jennings, but we do require that you have one with you as well as our daily fishing permit while fishing at the lake.
Conditions: The water temperature is currently 62 degrees. Please be advised that boats are not allowed in Hermit Cove. If you see a boat in Hermit Cove, please call the Bait Shop and our lake staff will address the issue. Thank you for your cooperation.
