Stripers have still been eating bait off the points throughout the lake and from the canal by the entrance booth for the past couple of weeks, mainly fresh sardines or lug worms. Catfish have been biting all around the lake mainly down deep in the cones and off of sandy banks or along the canal as well. Chicken liver has been working very well for catfish along with sardines, anchovies and even nightcrawlers to get bit throughout the day. Bass have been biting more reactions baits along the shorelines like top waters and smaller crank baits but much more reaction baits along the shorelines like top waters and smaller crank baits but with the grass going in around the lake, weedless setups have been much more effective and easier to manage throughout the day. Seniors and flukes have been working well along with roboworms or nightcrawlers on a drop shot rig with a longer leader to handle the grass.
