  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,000 pounds the week of June 6th. The next stocking of 1,000 pounds will be the week of July 4th. The catfish stocking schedule can be viewed HERE.
  • What's the catch?  The Bluegill and Redear are in the shallows. You don't have too look hard for them. Wax worms and meal worms will usually encourage a nibble. Anglers found fishing for catfish easy on Friday night. More catfish were caught by boat than from the shoreline. Siesta and Half Moon Cove were producing. Mackerel and garlic shrimp were the best baits. The smellier the better! There was a 4-pound bass caught in Shadow Cove on dropshot. There were also reports of bass biting in Cloister and Half Moon Coves on red worms. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • Conditions: The surface temperature around the boat dock is 74 degrees. The sun is rising around 5:40 a.m. and setting around 7:53 p.m. New Moon is June 28th. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • On Saturday, July 2nd you can fish without a fishing license! This program is offered by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to encourage new anglers to the sport. Give it a try and see if the fishing bug bites you! All fishing and lake regulations as well as permit fees still apply.
  • JULY HOURS: We will be opening the lake on Mondays and Thursdays, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the month of July in addition to our regular weekend hours. Boat rentals and launches will be available.
  • Fireside at the Lake: The next date to rent firepits is Saturday, July 9th. Rentals include lake entrance fees, Adirondack chairs for up to 6 people, wood, and firestarter. For an additional $16.99 you can purchase a s'mores kit! Kits include skewers, a bag of marshmallows, a box of graham crackers and 6 full sized Hersheys chocolate bars.
  • Campground: The campground opens for long term reservations in September. It's never too early to book a campsite for 30 nights or more! If you would like more information about long term camping visit our website HERE.
  • We still have campsites left for July 4th weekend! We have good views of the fireworks displays across the valley. The lake will be open until midnight on Friday and Saturday and 6AM to 5PM on July 4th. To make a reservation, go to lakejennings.org.
