The lake held at 17 percent of capacity, and fishing has been good. The bass scattered throughout the water column as the lake transitions into winter. Spotted bass can be located from 5 to 35 feet deep on a variety of techniques. Squarebills, small swimbaits, and Senkos took fish up shallow, and finesse techniques and small jigs worked for bites in deeper water. There’s also a vertical jig bite for bass holding near shad schools. White bass fell for the usual spoons and in-line spinners, and catfish anglers reported fair fishing on anchovies, mackerel, and chicken liver.
