Fishing has been fair to good with a lot of anglers using crawlers straight or inflated. Jigs have been doing a number of the bows, but mainly salmon peach power bait. Power worms have also seen action with fluorescent green sparkle and the orange sparkle on a dry fly hook #14. The set up is the same as using power bait, except that you thread the worm straight and don't loop it at all. Also dry some dry flies around the southeast corner near the outlet of Big V and the inlet from Red Lake. Cruising browns are deep, and if you want to see some action there, you need to think different. There are lots of ways to fool wary browns, and maybe a book on new methods and rigs might sharpen your skills for those pesky "hawgs". CJ
