The lake is covered with ice and a thin layer of snow. The ice was 10 or more inches deep, so the cap seems to be holding up well. Anglers report slow fishing. The area around the reservoir got very little snow, so the water level is low. Calder has catch-and-release regulations. You must use flies and lures only; bait and scented or salted lures are not allowed. See the Utah Fishing Guidebook for details.
