The stripers are biting lugworms and bloodworms in 40 to 80 ft. Trolling umbrella rigs and spoons has also been working. The largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing has been good. Dropshot and split shot roboworms has been working in 15 to 35 ft. Spoons have also been working for the bass. Catfish has been slow.

Fishing at Castaic is good for largemouth and smailmouth bass. Drop shotting and splitshottinq roboworms in 15 to 40 ft working good. Small jerkbaits and spoons also working for bass. Some good striper action on swimbaits after trout plants, linker punker and huddlestons working good. The bait bite for the stripers is fair. Crappie have showed up and are big ones. Castaic received a trout plant last week. Quite a few good size stripers were caught on swimbaits. The largemouth and smallmouth bass are still chasing bait in the mornings in the back of coves.
