Fishing has been better some days than others. For the boils, Stripers have still been schooling up on shad, mainly in deeper waters. They have mainly been seen going off in the later afternoon. First thing in the morning there has been a little striper action as well, but mainly the largemouth and smallmouth have been boiling in the a.m. The largemouth have also been biting on a lot of shad colored worms on the drop shot or fly-line. As for bait and wait fishing for stripers, it has slowed but some anglers have been managing a few good ones. They have mainly been getting them on a fly-lined nightcrawler or lug worm. Sardines and anchovies are also working, just not as well. The catfish have been making more of an appearance lately, mainly on garlic scented worms or cut baits. The bluegill have been biting good for a number of anglers, with most catches coming on a piece of a nightcrawler or wax/meal worms. There have still been a few trout caught as of late, almost all off of power-baits and nightcrawlers.

They’ve been mainly boiling in the coves and have been a little finicky. Finesse baits and...... Read More

The bait is still really small, so things haven’t been wide open yet, but there has been a handful of anglers lucky enough to find some boils, mainly on the fish arm or wherever there is bait. Topwater, flukes and some reaction baits have been working best. If you match the hatch...... Read More
