We are on a roll and DFG came bye once again and dumped 1,000 lbs. of rainbow trout!  There has been plenty of limits the following days after the plant and has finally started to slow down. There are still plenty of holdovers from previous plants to be caught. Power-baits and small trout lures have been working the best. Most catches have been off the shoreline near the upper lake main launch ramp. The stripers have still been tough to locate, but if you are able to find a school down deep you can mange a few. A couple anglers are still managing a couple using cut baits. The largemouth and smallmouth have been slowly starting to bite better as of late, mainly on spoons or shad colored plastics bounced off the bottom. The lower lake has been producing some nicer sized fish lately. Catfish have still been biting but just nothing crazy. Anglers are managing one here and there off mackerel and anchovies. The bluegill and crappie are hard to locate, and the lower lake has been the better location for these species

With that in mind, there should be good fishing in-the-near-future. Striped bass has been slow as of late and most fish have been caught down deep...... Read More

We unexpectedly had our third trout plant this past Friday! This one was supposedly around 2,000 lbs. of rainbow trout. We weren’t expecting one since we just had one the week prior, but we won’t complain! Since they dumped the trout in, anglers have been having good results. They stocked the main launch ramp so most of the trout have been caught around that area. Power-baits, trout mini-jigs, and Kastmasters seem to be working the best. If you get here...... Read More
