Catfish have been biting along the canal by the entrance booth, the rip rap in front of the boat shop and throughout the coves around the lake, mainly on anchovies, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers. Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass have also been biting very well along the shorelines of the lake on various baits throughout the day. Soft plastics such as senkos or roboworms have been working well along with shallow crank baits and jerkbaits. Top water baits have been successful during the morning hours for both bass and some occasional stripers. Anglers have had luck trolling around the lake with umbrella rigs, deep diving jerkbaits and heavy kastmasters to come across stripers throughout the day. Trout are also still being caught from the banks or down deeper in the coves on powerbaits, nightcrawlers, and mice tail jigs.
