Anglers have still been catching trout, mainly from the main launching area but also by boat if you stick close to the marina. Dough power-bait and mice tails, along with kastmasters have been working the best. The largemouth and smallmouth continue to bite better, with some anglers reporting bass up shallow on beds. Roboworms on the drop-sho and Carolina-rig have been working for most, and the good old nightcrawler. Some reactions baits early morning has been producing too.

The striper bite has been a little slow and most fish have come from deep on lug worm or night crawler. Some swimbait fish have been caught lately but not many. The catfish are biting mackerel and anchovies.

The crappie and bluegill are also becoming more active and moving up shallower. The lower lagoon is a good are for this. Wax/meal worms and small panfish jigs work well.

We are getting closer to the spawning months. They are being seen shallower and majority have still been caught in 30-60 feet...... Read More
