The West fished pretty well the last few days, the colder weather slowed down the snow melt so the water was down a little and pretty clear. Spinners like panther martins and rooster tails did well and some of the bait anglers did well with salmon eggs and crawlers yesterday. Fly anglers are going with nymphs and streamers like prince nymphs, pheasant tails, copper johns, wooly buggers and leech patterns. We had reports of quite a few fish in the 1 to 3 pound range and a few pushing the 6 pound mark!
