Virginia Lakes Fishing Report

We had some pretty good reports from Big Virginia by anglers fishing through the ice with fish up to 4.5 pounds making a showing, plus quite a few fish in the 1 to 3 pound range. The ice as of this morning on Big V was about 2 feet thick but getting a little slushy towards the afternoon. We talked to a couple anglers who ventured out on Little V in the morning yesterday and were able to catch some fish BUT they said they were pretty nervous the whole time as the ice is not very good right now. If it were me, I'd stay off Little Virginia right now, if you do decide to venture out there please use some common sense and be safe. Power eggs, mice tails and jigging mini jigs or spoons should get you into some fish on the Big Virginia.
