Welcome fishermen to Beautiful Cachuma Lake. Here is this week's Fishing Report! 12 days to go till our 23rd annual Fish Derby!!! Our lake is stocked with beautiful Rainbow Trout from Mt. Lassan. They range in size from 2 lbs to over 9 lbs. They have been catching off-shore with Night Crawlers, Panther Martin Gold and Black, and on the lake trolling with smaller Rapalas/Flicker Shads. Solid colors are recommended (gold, silver, shad, etc.

Bass are starting to spawn. Large and small mouth bass are catching along most banks near brush/reeds. Medium to large Crappie are still a big catch this week, especially trolling along the mountain ridge to the right of the Bay. They have also been coming up along the reeds right off-shore. On average they are between 1 and 2.5 lbs! With our current rains, the lake level has risen! We are just over 40% of capacity with about 130 ft of water at Bradbury Dam Visit our marina and talk with our friendly and knowledgeable staff.
