Early April Fishing Report

Many fish have been pulled up throughout the lake and also from shoreline, mainly off of the rip rap in front of the boat shop and along the channel by the front booth.

Stripers have been biting on various baits but lug worms, blood worms and night crawlers were working very well over the weekend from the rip rap.

Catfish have also been biting mainly along sandy banks or coves, hot sports from shore have been the far corner of the swim beach and also along the channel up front.

People have also been catching more bass on different stylers of baits, jerk baits and spinner baits in the morning and finesse style baits throughout the day.

Anglers have been having excellent luck fishing from shore and along the banks of the lake for multiple species over the past week using a variety of baits. Many people have been having luck both from shore and throughout the lake with all of the warmer weather we have been having. Catfish and stripers have been biting very consistently thought the day on sardines, chicken liver, lug worms and night crawlers.
