Throughout the past week, multiple species have been biting very well on various baits both from shore and throughout the lake. Smallmouth and largemouth bass have been biting all sorts of soft plastics, nigh crawlers, and even hard plastic baits in the morning. Stripers have been more active over the past couple weeks, starting to boil in the marina and biting some top water baits, jerk baits, lugworms and various frozen baits. The rip rap in front of the boat shop has been a great spot to catch stripers and bass and along the channel up front by the entrance booth has been a good spot for catfish and stripers, typically using worms and frozen baits from shore. Bluegill are also coming out and can be caught all along the shoreline of the lake and throughout coves as well.
