Since the trout plant on Friday, January 24th, people have been catching limits of trout from the shoreline and throughout the lake on different types of spinner baits, power baits and nightcrawlers. The canal by the entrance booth and the rip rap in front of the boat shop have been good spots to come across trout and stripers over the past week. Catfish have still been biting on sardines and anchovies bait and wait style in coves and off the points past the swim beach along the shoreline. Anglers have reported finding stripers around 130ft deep by Chumash Island and by the dam. Trolling around the lake has been working for stripers, but more bites have been from jigging or using sardines. Bass have also been caught deeper down along walls and off points using jerkbaits, umbrealla rigs, and drop shotting a robo worm or nightcrawler during the day.

The lake opens at 7am and closes at 5pm.
Boat rentals end at 1pm and are due back by 3pm.
Private watercrafts may launch until 2pm and are due off the water no later than 4pm.
