The mornings have been beautiful in Mammoth Lakes! Want some good news? Twin Lakes are finally ice free!
Mammoth Mountain began clearing snow out of the Lakes Basin earlier this week. Public Access (walking and biking) is allowed for the next few days on the clear sections of road.
Beginning Monday, June 19th the @townofmammothlakes will begin its main efforts to clear snow. They are asking the public to please stay clear of the Lakes Basin during this process. Please stay away from all snow removal equipment.
There is NO estimated time frame for the Lakes Basin to open. The USFS announced today that all campgrounds will be closed through at least July 6. If you were planning on camping during the July 4th holiday please plan on securing other lodging accommodations. A wide variety of hotels and lodging properties are available.
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
