The lake rose to 85 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was decent. Plenty of largemouth and smallmouth bass took finesse baits from 5 to 30 feet deep. Points and bluff walls produced well, with Senko-style baits and small plastic worms producing consistent action. The top colors remained baitfish imitations, brown, and green. Some anglers reported an excellent jerkbait bite on smaller lures, but it remained consistent only for a few who cracked the pattern. Striped bass were scattered, and trolling techniques worked best to target them. Catfish ate cut sardines and chicken liver on a Carolina rig. Redear sunfish were reported on submerged humps in 20 to 30 feet of water, with mini jigs and redworms getting bites.
