Brisk sunny days kept the trout biting with anglers using night crawlers, power bait ( especially chartruese, lemon twist and rainbow), jigs and lures to catch limits. Lots of limits went out with good size on most trout. Hot spots included the grassy point and eastern shore of lake 3 as well as the western, northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Bite remained strong throughout the day.

Catches of the week: Burt Wolf of Apple Valley caught his 7 lbs 3 ozs rainbow on a chartruese power worm on the eastern shore of lake 3. Fred Winterswyk of Rancho Cucamonga used a gold Jake to catch a limit that included a 6 lbs 4 ozs trout on the northern shore of lake 2. Ty Jensen of Upland reeled in his 5 lbs 2 ozs rainbow using an orange and black tube jig while fishing the inlet of lake 2. David Bolsworths of Apple Valley caught his 4 lbs 9 ozs rainbow using a night crawler on the grassy point of lake 3. Nick Stephenson of Norco caught a 4 lb 11 ozs trout on a green Lil'Ripperz while fishing the western shore of lake 2. He was fishing for bass but Ed Mata of Victorville reeled in a 4 lbs 3 ozs rainbow drop shotting a roboworm on the eastern shore of lake 2. Five year old, Stacie Lopez of Bloomington caught a 4 lbs 6 ozs trout on spring green power bait while fishing with her family on the eastern shore of lake 2. Edgar Flores of Fontana caught his 4 lbs 3 ozs and 4 lbs 5 ozs trout on Nymph power bait while fishing on the eastern shore of lake 2. Ada Melendez, also of Fontana, reeled in a 6 pound rainbow on the eastern shore of lake 2 using Rainbow power bait. Noe Arambula another Fontana angler, caught his 3 lbs 4 ozs trout on Nymph power bait on the southeastern shore of lake 2. Eight year old, Daniel Johnson of Victorville scored his 4 lbs 4 ozs trout on orange power bait while fishing the northern shore of lake 2.
