Please note that the ski cove is closed for this year's spawn. No Trout plant this week. More smaller bass have been reported in shallower waters this past week in most coves and some points. Some anglers reported that drop shotting was key to the catch. Others report fly lining senko type baits were working best for them. Most LMB caught were in the 1 to 2 pound models, striper action has reportedly picked up for those after anything in the 2 to 3 pound class on cut bait and frozen shad. Some friggin' fish reported but unconfirmed in the 10 to 12 pound class. Most striper action has been near the damn, west ramp areas from the Marina from shore. Boaters have been reporting very slow bite this past week although a few have been caught in the Open Water:

More fair weather this past week made for a slight increase in water temperature but the LMB are still not on the chew due to spawn. Fair weather and ideal conditioning proved there are fish in the lake this past week as LMB were biting a little better thatn weeks past. Most anglers reported (unconfirmed) that LMB are in shallower water and will take plastics and creature baits for those willing to slow down and fish with patience.
