Somewhat of a challenging day for us today folks.  With our 25 anglers on board we headed across is beautiful weather.

We started our morning in the deeper water for a change trying to locate some toothy critters to start the day.  Unfortunately we were only able to capture a few handfulls of big Coppers and a couple lings.  From there we worked east through the deeper water and although many spots looked promising it was a struggle to get much of a reaction out of anything.

After trying a lot of different rocks I decided to make a move into the shallower water between the islands for the afternoon.  Our anglers did an excellent job and fished hard to capitalize on every opportunity we had and we were able to pick along throughout the afternoon and ended up with a nice day of great quality fish for our anglers to take home.

Our 25 anglers ended the day with 47 Reds, 138 coppers, 24 misc. Rockfish, 1 whitefish and 19 Lingcod.

The Coral Sea is still very light on reservations for tomorrows 1/2 Day trip however the Stardust is a for sure go on there 3/4 Day  tomorrow with a light load.  Please call Sea Landing at 805 963-3564 for a reservation or book your reservation online.  Our open charter with Sportfishingreport.com also has room available for Saturday!
