Fishing has stayed the same the past few weeks with a few days being better than others. The shad have moved out of the marina for the most part, but you can still find a few small sized bait balls getting chased around bye wolf packs of bass. The largemouth and smallmouth have still been biting but has gotten tougher for some, with most fish being caught on Anglers have reported seeing decent bait out in some coves and have been able to net the shad still, which has been attributing to a good number of fishes being caught. Same goes for the striper right now. Anglers have been reporting hook-ups on various shad imitation lures, mainly subsurface for right now. Some stripers have been pulled in on the troll with spoons, umbrella rigs, and some flies on lead core line. The Sardine bite down deep remains average with a few to report, with nightcrawlers and lug worms working still as well. The bluegill and crappie bite have slowed down with the water temperature drop, but people have been having some better luck hitting the lower lake for those species. The catfish has slowed down too with the season, but there still has been some reports of a few being caught with fresh mackerel and chicken liver.

There haven't been too many boils lately, but you are still able to get some largemouth and smallmouth first thing in the morning and later in the evening on top water and some reaction baits. Throughout the day you can still finesse a few bass with a ned rig or...... Read More
