Anglers are still catching trout as of late, but it has been getting a little tougher to get your limit. Most catches are coming off powerbaits and garlic scented nightcrawlers. Green, chartreuse, rainbow and garlic have been working best.

The bass bite has remained steady with some decent numbers being reported back throughout the day. A lot fo fish have been coming off deeper rocky points and backs of coves sheer you can find shad schooled up and being chased. The shad aren’t in full swing yet, so it has been tough to locate them out on the lake. If you’re lucky enough to happen upon a school of shad, angerls have reported topwater and a reaction bite. Usually first thing in the morning and later in the evening have been the deal for that.

Striper bite has been picking up slowly with only a few per person being the usual catch. Sardines, anchovies and lug worms have been working best. The bite has mainly been in the deeper water off main points.

Catfish have been making more of an appearance with chicken liver, mackerel and anchovies being the bait of choice for most.

The bluegill and crappie have picked up and people have been able to snag limits off pieces of nightcralwers and wax/meal worms. Mainly up shallow near bushed and submerged foliage. The lower lake has been producing best or crappie.
