There still have been striper boils going off around the lake. Most of the bigger boils have been in the afternoon. It still has been hit and miss though, and you have to be in the right place at the right time. There is a lot of shad around the lake and wherever there tends to be bait fish, the stripers and largemouth are close bye. The Largemouth have been boiling as well, mainly first thing in the morning and later on in the evening. Shad imitation lures have been working best, with the good old drop shot producing good numbers as well. Any shad colored worms have been working, a well as blue crawler in Robo worms. Anyone netting shad has been having great days with high numbers of fish. The catfish are still biting. The best baits have been mackerel, chicken liver, and garlic nightcrawlers. The trout are still being caught too, mainly on bright colored Power-baits and nightcrawlers. Bluegill and crappie still remain biting, with wax and meal worms working best.
