Today’s Fish Count: 7 Boats and 155 Anglers.

977 Rockfish, 603 Whitefish, 20 Sheephead, 14 Lingcod, 6 Sculpin, and 11 Calico Bass.

All of the boats enjoyed beautiful weather, and some pretty good fishing on this fine Saturday. It was warm, the ocean was flat, and the loads were light.  Boats that are usually at capacity on the weekends got out with numbers normally seen on a weekday. This made for more time actually fishing and less time tangled. The islands have been getting a lot of attention lately, but a couple boats explored the waters down the coast. Fishing was reported to be good today for a variety of Rockfish, and in shallow the Whitefish were biting good again. Lately, its seems no matter where these boats go, they are coming back with big bags of fish.
