Fishing has definitely been on the tougher side this past week and it has been a hot one too. With that being said, the stripers have still been boiling. Most have been first thing in the morning and later in the evening, with some days seeing better boils around 10-11 am. Some anglers have been having luck on the troll, mainly using white flies and umbrella rigs.

The largemouth and smallmouth have slowed down overall with the surface action, you you are still able to get on a few first things. Some days they will stay up for a couple hours, but this past week has been tough. Flukes and top water baits have been working the best. The good old drop shot has been doing the truck as well with a lot of small ones biting that you have to go thought to get a decent one.

The catfish are still biting here and there with mackerel and cut baits working best. Some angler shave reported a few stripers picking up cut bait and nightcrawler off the bottom as well.

The bluegill and crappie bite are straying steady with decent numbers to report.

The trout has been a little slower, but a few angler shave been having luck with garlic power bait and night crawlers.
