The two stockings last week made for a good trout fishing and plenty of limits. It slowed down a but and we are hoping for another plant this week. The best baits have been Kastmasters and Powerboat in mice tails or the dough form.

The largemouth and smallmouth have continued to bite better as the temperatures increased this weekend. We are getting closer to the spawning months. They are being seen shallower and majority have still been caught in 30-60 feet of water.

The striper have been biting for a few anglers using producer flies and umbrella rigs. There also have been a couple of reports of striper taking a nightcrawler or anchovy here and there.

The Catfish are biting more often, mainly on anchovies and mackerel.

The bluegill and crappie are still a little deep and the lower lake has been a little better for these species. Wax worms and smaller crappie rigs have been woking best.

The largemouth and smallmouth bite has...... Read More
