Truxtun Lake Fish Report for 9-10-2021
Reports indicated fair fishing at Truxtun Lake last week
Truxtun Lake - Bakersfield, CA (Kern County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Reports indicated fair fishing at Truxtun Lake last week, but persistent anglers managed to land bass, catfish, and bluegill. The bass have been going for fly lined Senkos near the weed beds, and punching through cover with heavy gear and creature baits has been another good option. Topwater anglers reported some decent largemouth action during low light conditions. Catfish have been chewing on garlic scented nightcrawlers and chicken liver while bluegill anglers reported good fishing using redworms and mealworms near cover.
