Stripers have still been caught throughout the lake on Sardines using a long leader and up to an ounce sinker to mange the winds and currents around the lake. Even though the best bait has been fresh sardines from the marina, top waters, jerk baits and kastmasters have been working well to catch a striper throughout the day. Most anglers have been targeting points off of coved and along the brazzos and Serrano arms of the lake. Catfish have been biting a lot on various cut baits same style but found mainly in coves down deep and off of sandy banks. Abs have been eating more soft plastics over the past week such as senkos, creature baits and flukes but some angler shave been catching them on top water antis and spinner baits in the early morning hours of the day, usually along the grass lines and also throughout the coves around the lake.
