Nacimiento held near 9 percent of capacity, and the spotted bass went for finesse plastics and spoons in deeper water. The bass bite in the 15-to-35-foot zone, and they seemed to hold near shad schools. Drop shot, darter heads, and jigs all produced well, but a lot of anglers reported doing the best after locating bass schools and fishing vertically with War Eagles, Kastmasters, and other vertical spoons. Catfish went for cut baits, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers with a better grade of whisker fish biting lately.
