River Walk Lakes Fish Report for 12-31-2021
The trout fishing has slowed a bit
River Walk Lakes - Kern County, CA (Kern County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The trout fishing has slowed a bit here since the last plant three weeks ago. Anglers have done best with mice tails, garlic scented Power Bait, pinched crawlers, and spinners. The Bass action has been fair to good with finesse presentations. Bass have come on jigs and drop-shotted soft plastics. The Annual Bakersfield Firefighters Fishing Derby & Pancake Breakfast is scheduled for February 5, 2022. Both lakes will be stocked with tagged Lightening and Rainbow trout worth up to $1000. Tickets are now available at Cope’s Tackle & Rod.
