The trout bite has slowed down a bit since the last plant about a month ago, some angels have had luck towards Bear Trap, Spanish Point and Posey Cove for a couple trout down deep on nightcrawlers and power bait with a long leader to sit off the bottom. Stripers have bee caught trolling the lake with kastmasters and deeper diving jerk baits along with spooning down deep bit the island. The water levels have gone down a bit so deeper water has been most successful for most people along with point off the various coves. Catfish have been biting very well mainly along sandy ledges and coves on cut bait like chicken live, mackerel and sardines. Bass have been biting jigs, crank baits and a variety of soft plastics like senkos and roboworms in deeper water off wall and in rocky area.
