With the most recent trout plant on January 6th, anglers have had luck catching trout on spinners and tubes or nightcrawlers and powerbaits with a longer leader and light line. Catfish have been biting very well throughout the lake mainly within the coves on various cut baits like anchovies or mackerel and chicken liver with a heavier sinker to be able to manage the winds and currents throughout the day. Bass have been pretty active, biting glide baits and some top water baits in the earlier hours, otherwise senkos and jigs have been most successful throughout the day. Stripers have been caught a bit deeper down up to 60ft on cut baits as well, along with spoons or paddle tail baits on leadheads while trolling the lake to cover more water and find schools of fish when the bite gets a bit harder.

Bass have still been biting pretty well along the steeper banks and points around the lake on various soft plastic baits like creature baits, senkos, roboworms and nightcrawlers. Coves have been very productive areas to...... Read More
