River Walk Lakes Fish Report for 5-5-2023
River Walker Lakes Fishing Report
River Walk Lakes - Kern County, CA (Kern County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The DFWL was scheduled to stock here last week, but the water was too warm. There have been multiple plants over the last month and the trout bite has been excellent. Anglers have been scoring fish with garlic doused Powerbait, Get Bent Baits, spinners, and Thomas Bouyants. We’re working with local agencies and the DFWL to stock Bass and Bluegill back into the lakes. It looks promising for future gamefish stocking but may take a couple months.
