Anglers that decided to fish for trout early, taking advantage our pre-stockings have paid off. Billy Burn of Corona landed 5 trout totaling 10 pounds 8 ounces using chartreuse from a boat towards the dam. Michael & Elizabeth Karns of Harbor City caught both trout & catfish totaling 9 pounds using night crawlers at the dam. Eric Fennel, Yasmin Boykin & Lamont Deckhand of Compton caught 16 catfish totaling 43 pounds using chicken livers at JD's Point. Dave Berry of Lake Elsinore caught a 10 pound catfish using Eagle Claw carp bait at the boat dock. Randy Muirhead of Elsinore caught 3 bass totaling 23 pounds with his largest bass at 10 pounds using a lure from a boat at the dam. Trout season is here, with the first big stocking of beautiful Sierra Bows on October 24th. The second stocking of both Lightning Trout and Sierra Bows will be on October 31st. Corona Lake is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only.
