Fishing in Castaic is fair. Largemouth bass are biting best with fishing being caught in 2-30 ft. Most bass are being caught with plastic worms and night crawlers. The striper fishing has been slow. Most stripers are being caught on umbrella wings and spooning in 50 to 75 ft. Catfish are being caught on mackerel, anchovies, and night crawlers.
