Fishing at Castaic was very good. The stripers have started boiling very good. Most of the fish have been caught at the ski arm bouy line. Top water and small kastmasters are working best. Guys are still catching stripers on bait. Sardines and lugworms are working best in 50 to 75 ft deep. The largemouth bass are boiling on baby shad all day. Most bass are still being caught on small plastic baits and lures. The catfish bite is good. Most catfish are being caught on mackerel and nightcrawlers.

Carp: Good
Catfish: Good
Crappie: Poor
Redear: Poor
Trout: Poor
The average weight of Bass, Carp and Catfish were 2lbs, 20lbs and 8lbs respectively.

Fishing at Castaic is good. The largemouth bass are biting good. Most bass are being caught on plastics and nightcrawlers in 5 to 20 ft deep.The bass are hitting lures in the morning. There have been a few boils in the morning with stripers and largemouth bass.The striper fishing is starting to pick up more fish are being caught lately on nightcrawlers and lugworms.The catfish have been biting good on mackerel and nightcrawlers.
